Mololoa aka San Miguel

I have come to love the little village of San Miguel. Over the past month or so I have spent lots of time there. The Kluges go up there often and I get to go there with them, which I love doing. The kids see the Kluges car coming and they all come running. They always have kids lining down the moutain waiting for them to come down and give them cookies, juice, or a sucker. The joy in their faces are undescrible. That may be the only food that they even have for the day. What a difference somthing little like that does. Spending time with the kids and investing in them feels so good and I am hoping that we are making a difference in each of their lives. San Miguel is one of the poorest communities here in Teguc. It is just sad to see some of the kids that live there in poverty and lots of have no moms and dads, no food, and no love. It is good to know that I can offer a little to them. Whether giving them a little food, having some fun, or a little and a lotta love. I have become buddies with a few of the boys up there. And in growing closer and closer to them it makes me ache and hurt to see them ache and hurt. I just wish I could do something more to help them with what they are going thru. One of my buddies is really hurting and angry right now. His brother ran away about 3months ago and has got into drugs and gangs and it is hard on him b/c he was so close to his brother and i think he looked up to him. He is going thru a very crucial part of his life right now he is 13 or so and his brother that ran away was about 15 or so. He is left at home now with his other two brothers who are 2 and 5 or so. And his mom works all of the time so he is the one who takes care of the two others. The sad thing is I am not too sure how much time he is even there for his brothers. He is so mad at the world right now that i am not too sure that is top on his list to do. He has become very close to me and the Kluges but there are so many times he is just down right mean but he doesn't mean it he is just trying to get attention or a reaction out of us or something of the nature. I pray that he may change and that he doesn't end up on the same track as his brother. He said that tom is his brothers b-day so tom will be a hard day on him. We are trying to spend the afternoon with him. Please pray for him and his heart that it will not harden. Also pray that we may make a difference in their lives.

So today that is where we spent the day......Mololoa. We spent the day building a house for a family that had been asking for a house all last summer and now they finally got it. Good things come to those who wait. Mark & Lori Connell, Joe & Lana, Randy & Melissa, Me & Jen all worked on the house along with lots and lots of help from the community. It was a good day. We got the house done in 5hours or so. The pics from today are all of the ones above i just posted...ENJOY!!!!
