prayers

So it has been brought to our attention that there are two little girls who do not have any where to go. There are lots of them out there but these two have been brought to our attention. Their names are Cici and Rosita. Two sisters who for the past week have been taken care of by their neighbor. Their dad comes in and out of the picture. Their mom from what I understand has never really been in the picture. Their grandma was taking care of them till a few months ago when she got hit by a car and was killed. So now their aunt is trying to take care of them but that is not working so well because the aunt works long hours and gets home late every night. So there for the kids are running around all day and beginning to live on the streets. So we are working along with another ministry that brought this to our attention to see what will come of this thru the judge and such. So whether God's plans are for these two little girls to come to casa or go somewhere else I ask that you lift them up in prayer and that God takes them where He wants them.

Naptime

It has been a little hot here lately. Especially during nap time. It is usually 10 degrees more here inside the house. So during nap time the girls are finding comfort sleeping on the cold tile floor.

Ashley bought the kiddos a new pool. They are loving it.....yesterday was the first day it was up and running! It is quite hot around here these days so it is nice to cool off for sure.

Cleaning in the school

This would never happen in the states...............
I find myself saying this exact same thing all of the time here in Honduras. Today the kids were told to wear "ropa de color" today to school. Which would be just normal clothes. Well the reason for this was so that they could clean. They began to ask me for bleach, a bucket, or disinficant to take to school today to clean. So Pamela gathered up a bucket and Brayan a scrub brush. On the way to school I passed other children with buckets, bleach, and machetes. Yes I just said machete, I would never let one of our children carry a machete to school. I guess some of the children were going to cut grass.
They already miss school so much around here. The average I would say is that they go to school maybe two or if we are lucky three times a week. So this is the third time this week that they got to go to school and today they were not going to learn but to clean.

Dorian

Life is easier when two hearts and minds are committed to working together to face the challenges of the day.

Have I said how thankful I am for my husband.....God has given me a gift for sure in Dorian.

Free Day

Let me tell you I love to have a day where I can sleep in a little and do whatever I want to do and not have to worry about anything.
Today was one of those days in my world!
Every Monday is mine and Dorian's free day! What could be better to have a day free and get to spend every minute of it with your husband!
So today I am thankful for today and the time that I got to spend with Dorian and the time to just relax, refresh, and rejuvenate.

Brayan

Be praying for Brayan as he is having a hard time realizing that he is not going to get to live with his mom. He is just wanting to be with his family. So pray for him and that he sees that this is the best for him right now.

Fuel

Here in Honduras we are short on fuel. Few buses ran on Saturday because they were unable to get fuel for their buses. Then today more buses ran but still not all of them. The gas stations that do have fuel have lines of cars waiting to fill up.
At 7:30 this morning they turned off our elec. and it came back on around 5:00 this evening. They are turning it off too to conserve fuel. From what I heard today is that we have a boat coming in on Wednesday with fuel. So I am guessing all this week until we get fuel they will turn off the elec. to conserve.
So if I am not blogging or staying in contact very well this week it might just be because we have no elec. for me to even stay in contact.

Mario

Today I want to ask all of you reading this to say a special prayer for Mario. All of our kids have their ups and downs as do any of us but with their down moments they tend to have flash backs from bad things that they have been thru.
For all of you who read my blog have read before that I have asked for prayers for Mario. He came here with so much anger, hurt, and confusion. He has came a long way. This June will be two years now that he has been here with us. Although for the past week he has really been testing his limits and not wanting to listen and so he acts out in anger and bites and kicks. It seems to be at least twice a day so a little draining for sure on us who are trying to calm him down. Not too sure what the reason is but I ask that all of you pray for Mario and that a peace can come over him that only God can send him. So as you read this take a minute and stop and ask God to do some work in his heart. Also pray for us who are caring for him that we will do it in the right manner. It is hard in moments when he gets in his mood to even know what to do with him.
So pray for us but more importantly pray for Mario.
