Update

Sorry that it has took so long for me to send an update.

As most of you already know we have five more little kiddos here in the house. We were suppose to get six but one of them did not have the paper work ready so she is suppose to be ready some time this week for us to come and get.

The kids we have are wonderful. It is a handful and lots of work but it is good. The kids are slowy getting in the routine of things here. They are learning just the simple things but things that matter. Like how to wash their hands and brush their teeth and how to say please and thank you. It is always more stressful at first but with time it will get better as they learn and get into the routine of things here and most importantly are loved.

I look back at our boys and when they first came here they didn't want to listen, didn't know how to write their name or count, and were always so demanding. They have came a long way. Now they are helping us out alot with the kids and setting a good example for them. I hope that a couple of months from now I can look back and the same is true for these kids we have now and that they will learn things and grow in so many ways and feeled loved and special.

Ok here is a little about the kiddos......

First of all we have Monica, Fernando, and Katty (siblings). The sad thing with these kids is that they do not even know their names or birth dates. The kids have been give temporary names right now. So we have a lawyer working on getting these things for us so hopefully soon we will have their birth certifcates. We are not even too sure how old they are. In the paper work that we have been given they told us approx how old they are Monica 5, Fernando 4, and Katty 3. We sat down with them today to see if they knew colors of numbers or anything and not so much . So we are going to be busy trying to teach them and get them caught up to where they need to be, but it will come with time and patiences.

Secondly we have Cindy (4 and half) and Maryuri( 2 and a half) siblings. The story with these girls is that they were physically and emotionally abused by their step father. So little Maryuri is very sensitive and her feeling are easily hurt. She does not like it in the least bit if anyones voice sounds like they are yelling. The poor baby is used to being in the crib and she doesn't want so much to walk now with us. She has poor muscule tone but with time she will hopefuly build that up and be able to walk better. Now Cindy is a sweety but also stubborn. She is always wanting to help and take care of her sister well her sisiter doesn't like that so much and usually throws a fit. Cindy is growing to love it here already and almost always when she sees me she runs to me and just wants me to love on her. But at the same time she is having a hard time listening, not wanting to listen when we say no but spending time in the seat when she doesn't listen.

We had to cut all of their hair off yesterday because they had lots and lots of lice and were not getting rid of them. But they all seem to be fine with it. Their poor little scalps have scars from the lice and where they have dug at them. So even though we hated to do it it is better for them and soon they their hair will grow back.

Also as some of you might have already heard we had to take Fransico to the hospital Saturday night and he got to come home on monday night. He had, had an asthma attack and was not breathing so well and he had a urinary tract infection. Although he is dong better but still not totally better. But thank you for all of your prayers for him, he is on his way to feeling better right now.

Also I will try to get some pics on here of the new kiddos soon.

Know that you are loved and highly favored and blessed.

Be God's!

Karen, we are so happy with what you and Jen and God have accomplished. We recognized some of the kids from when we were at Casitas Kennedy last April and are so happy that these have been rescued from there. We are so proud of you guys and know that God will continue to bless you and the children. Hope to see you all soon. Love, Bryan and Joyce
